Abstract

Probabilistic methods of analysis have gained increased popularity in the real-time research community. This covers schedulability analysis as well as WCET analysis. While the concept of execution-time profiles as unit of computation in theses analysis is not new, there is so far a lack of a reference definition and summary of the interpretation of, representation of and operations performed on execution-time profiles. This technical report aims to collate and summarise these in a single document.
